PULWAMA : The Member Parliament Dr. Mehboob Beig today conveyed a high level meeting in district Pulwama to review the performance under NRHM Scheme.
Mr. Beig is also Chairman, District Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee Pulwama.
The Member Parliament Mr. Ghulam Nabi Rattanpuri, District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Joint Director Planning, Chief Medical Officer and other officers of medical department were present in the meeting.
Giving brief about the achievements under NRHM through PowerPoint presentation, the District Development Commissioner said that out of Rs. 9 crores, 100 percent allotted funds has been expanded for construction of various hospital buildings at Tral, Rajpora, Pampore, Emergency and IPD Block at District Hospital Pulwama.
The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs. 110.46 lakhs has been expended out of Rs. 138.75 lakhs for construction of six health sub centres at various places in Pulwama, which include Satpukren Pampore, Narastan Tral, Poshwan Tral and Dogripora Pulwama.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Beig urged the concerned officers to take up the matter regarding purchase of critical care ambulances for District Hospital Pulwama with the government immediately. He said steps should also be taken to set up blood banks, thyroid test labs and install back up power generators in existing hospitals so that people do not face any difficulty for better medicare facilities. He said the government has given focused attention towards the upgradation of health care facilities in the State. He also urged upon the officers to complete the ongoing works in a time bound manner.
The Member Parliament Mr. G.N. Rattanpuri announced to provide funds for purchasing ambulance for District Hospital Pulwama out of his Constituency Development Fund.
