Dr. Jitendra Singh meets Governor, discusses ongoing relief and rehabilitation work

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 19: Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, called on Mr. N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.

Dr. Singh discussed with the Governor the ongoing relief and rehabilitation work in the Valley on account of recent floods and issues relating to the cross International Border and the Line of Control firing in the Jammu region. They also discussed existing issues relating to the educational sector and the quality of research being undertaken in the professional and educational institutions in J&K.

The Governor, who is the Chairman of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, discussed with Dr. Singh the urgent need for installation of highly dependable weather forecast systems for the safe conduct of  the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
