Dr Manohar asks NCHFI to mitigate suffering of people of J&K

Manohar-4KATHUA : Minister of State for Finance, Planning and Cooperatives, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma discussed the housing issues of the people of the State, presently residing at New Delhi, with the authorities of NCHFI here at JK House in New Delhi.
Managing Director, National Cooperative Housing Federation of India (NCHFI), Madan Lal Khurana, members of GGF and DCF was also present on the occasion.
The issues projected by the people were to explore the possibility of setting-up a housing cooperative for resettlement of the displaced people of J&K in the NCR Region.
The meeting discussed in detail the issues like strengthening of J&K Cooperative Housing Societies, repayment of the loans of Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO),    holding of seminar to discuss the problems of housing cooperatives in the State of J&K and strengthening & Cooperative Housing Movement in the Ladakh region.
Dr Manohar while speaking on the occasion asked the Managing Director NCHFI to consider the demands of people of Jammu & Kashmir residing in NCR region in order to mitigate their housing problems. Dr Sharma said that efforts are on to give further boost to the housing cooperative societies in the State.
Volunteers of Dogra Charitable Foundation (DCF) & the Members of Gandhi Global Family (GGF) of the State, presently living in New Delhi, apprised the minister about the difficulties they are facing on account of accommodation at New Delhi.
