Dr Manohar convenes public meet at Maltha Hiranagar


Manohar-8KATHUA: Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives Finance and Planning Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today convened a public meeting at village Maltha in Hiranagar where people apprised him with their problems and demands.
The representatives put forth demands related to the provisions for road connectivity from Daabi to Maltha, construction of Panchayat Ghar, repair of PHE water tank at Malta, pending MGREGA payments, construction of boundary wall of Middle School Malta, demand of electric poles.
Dr Sharma while addressing the meeting said that government has prioritized strengthening of infrastructure under various sectors. He said that government has initiated works on several roads under Pardhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Youjna (PMGSY) and State Plan to speed up the pace of development. He impressed upon the officers to educate masses so that they can avail the valued benefits of the schemes under agriculture and allied sectors. He appealed the people to take up dairy, poultry, fish farming etc along with agriculture for more earning in same farming calendar time.
While responding to the demands of the people Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that the demands of the people will be redressed in time frame manner. He announced Rs 2 lac for Daabi- Maltha road and directed the XEN PWD to start the work at the earliest. He directed the Naib Tehsildar to clear the pendency of MGNREGA wages of the people on priority. He also directed him to ensure that more works are taken up under MGNREGA in village Maltha . He also assured the people that work on Panchayat Ghar will commence soon.
Among others Naib Tehsildar Hiranagar, XEN’s PHE, PWD, SHO Hiranagar were present on the occasion.
