Two arrested with poppy straw, opium in Jammu, Samba
Jammu, Feb 17: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two persons with contraband of opium and poppy straw in Jammu and Samba districts on Saturday.
Police in coordination with District Special Branch team laid a surprise naka near Raya Morh and intercepted one Tilak Raj, resident of Ward Number 6, Bari Brahmana on suspicious ground.
“During frisking, one- kg poppy straw was recovered from his possession and the accused was arrested on the spot along,” police added.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Police also apprehended one person with 5-Kg opium here at Bahu Fort.
“During Patrolling at Yard No 7 near Wave Mall, one person was stopped for checking and when frisked, 5-Kg ‘Ganja’ was recovered from his possession,” police added.
