Education tour of students from Ramban flagged in by Delta Force

Jammu, Oct 31: It was heartening to see the jubilant faces of the 20 boys of Ramban district who had returned from “Sair-e-Watan” an educational tour organised by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force today. The students alongwith two teachers visited places of educational and cultural interest in Delhi and Udaipur.

During the flagging in ceremony at Batote, General Officer Commanding Delta Force interacted with the young and exuberant students and expressed hope that the tour would inspire them to exploit the educational avenues existing outside the state of J&K. In the course of their interaction with the General Officer, the students stated that the educational facilities offered at some of the premier institutions like Venkateswara College, Delhi and Pacific University, Udaipur was awe-inspiring and were thankful to Delta Force for facilitating admission for students of J&K at Pacific University. They said they were highly motivated and would strive to pursue their higher education in one of these institutions.

The students and teachers of the tour were overwhelmed by the sincere efforts of the Army and were thankful for the opportunity provided. Most of the students ventured out of J&K for the first time and were indeed impressed with the culture and traditions of the places they visited. They were happy to see the economic development and progress in other parts of the country.
