Eight Terrorists hold a family hostage, currently hiding in the forests of Doda

Jammu, August 10: A family of five members is said to have been detained by eight terrorists in the far off Padri Hills in District Doda. The Police after receiving the information has started investigation.

If sources are to be believed then these terrorist are hiding to attack on the upcoming Independence day.

According to sources the family that was held hostage actually lives in the village Bhalessa of District Doda and had moved uphill to feed their cattle. As per the information provided, eight terrorists held this family to ransom on Friday. On Sunday, the family escaped from the clutch of terrorists and reached Gandoh Police station.

The family informed the police about their abduction and said that there were a total of eight terrorists. Few of them were wearing Army Uniform while the others were in Salwar and Kurta. All of them talked in Urdu and Punjabi languages. The same information has also been passed on to intelligence agencies.

After receiving this information, high alert has been issued in District Doda and areas nearby. A group of cops has also been sent to the Padri Hills to launch a search operation.

“The department is getting such information everyday and most of them were found false. This information is being taken seriously and department has launched a search operation keeping in view the Independence day celebrations. The security of Doda has also been increased in view of upcoming Independence Day,” said SSP Doda Zahid Manhas as quoted in Amar Ujala.
