Srinagar, December 23: Chargesheet has been presented by Crime Branch Kashmir against 15 people accused of being involved in the Elementary Teachers Training scam before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar on Tuesday.
As per an official of Crime Branch Kashmir, a case has been registered under FIR No. 27/2013 U/S 420, 468, 467, 471, 120-B RPC r/w 5 (2) PC Act P/S Crime Branch Kashmir.
As per the official word, the department registered complaint after it received communication from Joint Secretary BOSE Srinagar that includes inquiry report of the Scam. The report revealed that Elementary Teachers Training Courses conducted by ETT Colleges is a huge scandal where crores of rupees were exchanged as bribe.
The report also said that a number of candidates were lured and a huge amount ranging from Rs 45000 to Rs 80000 was received from them for conduct of said course.
Meanwhile, the BOSE officials are denying all charges stating that, the ETT institutes have no renewed documents from the Government which would have authorized them to run ETT Courses. The investigation, on the other hand reveals that ETT colleges had neither applied for No Objection Certificates nor their NoC’s were renewed hence their affiliation from the J&K BOSE is a violation of rules by the BOSE officials.
However, the Crime Branch Jammu had already submitted charge sheet in case bearing FIR No. 36/2013 U/S 420,468,471, 120-B RPC r/w 5 (2) PC Act, on 11-12-2015 for the session 2004-06 against 08 accused persons before the Court of Anti-Corruption Jammu.
