Exam superintendent, his deputy suspended over allegation of mass copying, pending enquire


Reasi: Superintendent of examination centre and his deputy were suspended today by Directorate Education Jammu over the allegations of mass copying the examination in Mahore area of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Pending enquiry into the conduct in terms of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, Master Sharief-Ud-Din (Superintendent) and teacher Ashiq Ahmad (Deputy Superintendent) of 10th Exam center No. 5903 High School Jamslan, Zone Mahore are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect,” reads an order issued by the DSEJ, Anuradha Gupta.

“During the period of suspension, they shall remain attached with Chief Education Office Reasi,” the order reads.

Photos and video went viral on social media showing mass copying by students of 10th class in Bi-annual Science paper which was held on May 11 in the examination centre.

The locals had urged Governor-led administration to look into the matter and take strict action against the staff involved in the mass copying practice.
