Jammu– Gandhi Nagar police busted a racket engaged in making fake appointment orders of clerks in Military Engineer Services (MES) and J&K Bank with arrest of two persons.
In a report by Daily Excelsior which states that the action taken by police was ensued a complaint lodged by Damil Sharma, S/o Sham lal Sharma, resident of Roop nagar Digiana in Gandhi Nagar Police Station. The complainant had stated that three persons namely Md. Qasim Badana S/o Chandi Mohammad of Kangan, Sajad Ahmed S/o Khalik ur Rehman of Tangdar and Jahangir Khan S/o Habibul Rehman of Tanda Kupwara had met him in Digiana and assured him to provide job in MES as a clerk and took away Rs. 50,000 as advance. The trio issued fake appointment order and took away the rest amount of Rs 1 lakh from him, the complainant stated.
Quick Police action
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 52/17 under Section 420 RPC was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
On specific information, police team conducted raids in different areas and arrested two accused namely Sajad Ahmed and Jahangir Khan. Their associate namely Mohammad Qasim Badana is still at large and manhunt is going on to arrest him.
Police also seized fake appointment order and joining letters. These fraudsters have cheated many youth on the pretext of providing Government jobs in different department. During the course of investigation, two more persons identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, son of Mohammad Hussain and Ali Akbar, son of Mohammad Ali, both from Kargil also reported to police station Gandhi Nagar that Muhammad Qasim Badana and Sajad Ahmed provided fake photo state appointment orders of clerk in J&K Bank and took Rs 2,50,000 cash and cheque of Rs 50,000 from them as advance amount.
Case under investigation
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Ritesh Sambyal and assisted by Incharge Digiana police post SI Pawan Dogra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
