JAMMU: National Conference president, Farooq Abdullah today said that he think that it is the security agencies who have to take a call on the removal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and they must identify the areas where it is not required. He said that he feel that AFSPA should be withdrawn but depending upon the situation and places where the act is not required. This was stated by National Conference President, Farooq Abdullah while talking to the media persons here today after visiting the residence of Captain Tushar Mahajan in Udhampur district, who sacrificed his life for the nation in Sopore encounter.
He appealed to the Defence Minister and Prime Minister to rename the Udhampur Railway Station on Captain Tushar’s name.
