First ever woman drug peddler arrested in Jammu

Rajouri, September 12: Police in Rajouri have arrested first ever woman drug peddler in Jammu found selling intoxicants at the most busy spot of Rajouri.

The accused has been identified as the resident of the same area. Her name is Nagina Kousar married to Karamat Hussain. The woman was arrested with a large quantity of intoxicant capsules with prescription name Smasmo Proxivon. The capsules have been recovered.

As per a news daily, a police team headed by inspector Yashpal Singh, SHO Police Station Rajouri under the supervision of Iftikhar Ahmed Deputy SO (Operations and Nodal Officer of Anti Drug Operations) had been keeping surveillance on the activities of the suspected woman and finally arrested this first ever female drug peddler. The reason behind suspicion was that her brother is also a very noted drug peddler and her husband is a drug addict.

SSP Rajouri, Dr Mughal, in his statement said that the woman has been booked in case FIR No456/15 under sections 8/20/21 NDPS Act and 18/27 DCA Act for selling of drugs. The police have started the investigation to unearth the nexus of drug peddler in the town.
