Fresh Western Disturbance; Worse days ahead in J&K
Srinagar, December 25 : As per the warning issued by the Met department, Jammu and Kashmir to experience more chill in the upcoming week as a fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is likely to hit the state.
Talking about today, the summer capital of the state, Srinagar freezes with minimum temperature recorded is minus 5.2 degree though sun was playing hide and seek with icy cold winds. The reports says that the similar climatic condition is likely to be continued next week also.
There could be isolated rain or snow in the Kashmir valley and Jammu region during the next 24 hours since the western disturbances is likely to hit the region which will be followed by scattered rain on subsequent day.
As per an official of Met, in Srinagar, sky would be cloudy with the result the mercury would improve. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 8 degree and minus 1 degree respectively during the next 24 hours.
Similarly, in Jammu the winter capital of the state, the sky would be partly cloudy and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 19 degree and 5 degree respectively during the next 24 hours.
While, in Leh sky would be partly cloudy and the maximum and minimum temperatures will reach around 00 degree and minus 11 respectively at Leh during the next 24 hours.
