From Vulgarity to Ban on Pak actors, Pahlaj Nihalani anwers controversial questions

Pahlaj Nihalni congratulated the contestants of All India devotional songs competition, which takes place during Navratras in Katra every year. On Kashmir situation, he said that Kashmir has been the first love of bollywood and producers are waiting for the situation in kashmir to be improve so that they can shoot their yet again.

When asked about the censor cuts made in the films and leaking of movies online, he promptly said that media’s job nowadays is to malign anything an everything. “If some scenes are cut from the movies, they question the censor; if they are included in the movie, then again they question the cwensor board’s judgement”, he said. On leaking of movies before release Pahlaj said that the directors need to take care of this aspect and they are solely responsible for any such mshap. “The directors need to take care of their movies just like they take care of their kids”, he added.

On ban on Pakistani actors Pahlaj said tried to dodge the questions and refereed to the statement he made earlier in the same context. He said we must first take up and rectify the issues that are of prime importance in the current scenario. “The governemnt must devise stratergies to control the escalating situation in valley and at the same time support our armed personnel for their duty towards the nation”

Earlier in october, censor chief, Pahlaj had dissed the call for banning pak actors. “These artistes who have worked in Indian films should not be asked to leave. They have every right to work here,” pahlaj said earlier this month.

While addressing the media Chairman All Indian Devotional Song Committee Mr. Rakesh Wazir said  that Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Competition is organized jointly by  Shri Mata Vaishno  Devi Shrine Board, J&K Tourism & Shradha Mh One in association with Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board,Navgraha Channel,India News,Zee PHH,Big92.7 FM,Nidheesh Builders Jammu Pvt.Ltd.,J&K Bank, Hotel Ritz Manor,Distt. Administration,Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra, under the overall supervision of Navratra Festival Committee headed by Divisional Commissioner,Jammu himself.

The Devotional Song Competition started 18 years back with the main aim to promote and provide platform to the singers from all over the India in the holy township of Katra/besides promotion of the tourism in J&K. and this year Pahlaj Nihalni, Chairman Censor Board,Hans Raj Hans,Padam Shree Singer,Parvez Dewan Former Advisor to Governor, Sh.Ganesh Jain,Chairman cum Managing Director Venus Records & Tapes Ltd & maker of more than 45 movies, Sh.Gordhan Tanwani Producer,Pravin Shah Chairman cum Managing Director Times Videos & Gold Cinemas,Sh.Sanjay Vidyarthi Music Composer,Barkha Arora Vice President Zee Network and R.C.Raina CEO Navgraha Channel  will perform their duties as Judge in the finals of this competition.

The live telecast of the Mega Final to be held on 10th Oct. 2016  will be available  on  Shardha Mh One,Mh One News.Navgraha Channel from 9.30 PM onwards and the entry for this event will be free to all and besides the performances of the singers who have reached the finals the people will  see the live performances of Padam Shree Singer Hans Raj Hans,Sanjay Vidyarthi the music composer and former winners of the competition including Mool Raj,Anjusha,Chaman Lehri,Sonali Dogra,Ravi Kumar etc.

It is worth while to mention here that Pahlaj Nihalani besides the Chairmanship of the Censor Board remained since long with the film industry and was President of the Motion pictures and TV programme Producers and made lot many movies and was behind the launch of big stars like  Govinda,Neelam ,ChinkeyPanay etc.

Parvez Dewan who was Advisor to governor till some time back is actually the brain behind this competition and it was he who started it in 1999 and has accepted to be the the Judge of the competition alongwith film & media personalities on finals.

It is pertinent to mention here that Ganesh Jain is the Chairman cum Managing Director of Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. besides maker of more than 50 movies like Khiladi, Baazigar, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yes Boss, Badshah, Dhadkan, Hamraaz, Hungama, Hulchul, Garam Masala, Aap Ki Khatir,De Dana Dhan etc. and their banner has introduced faces like Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar etc.

Gordhan Tanwani made famous movies like Ishq,Pyar to Hona Hi Tha,Dulhan Hum Le Jayegay etc.

Pravin Shah C&MD Times Videos & Cinemas having more than 45 theatres all over India and is maker of more than 40 movies.

This All India Devotional Song Competition have contributed a lot to the state and have given platform to many Singers in the film industry including Himani Kapoor, Mool Raj, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Naveen Punjabi, Rajan Gill, Sonali Dogra, Reeta Khadyal, Ravi Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar,Anjusha,Sonali Dogra,VanshkiaJaral etc.Himani Kapoor sung in the films like Dil Diya Hai, Chingari, Oye Lucky Oye, Fool & Final, Bachna Ae Hasino wise others singers are also doing well in this field.

These film industry people have contributed a lot to this All India Devotional Song Competition. 1st  Prize of this competition is Gold worth Rs 3 Lakh besides recording contract to the winner of this competition with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. and likewise the 2ndprize is 1 lac and the third prize is 50,000/- to be awarded on the day of finals.

Mr. Wazir said that if the programme of All India Devotional Song Competition has attained these heights, these film industry,Media and literary people had their great contribution in it.

On 10th during day time on the invitation of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board these film personalities including Hans Raj Hans will go to Shiv Khori where they will perform Arti ,explore possibilities how its Yatra can be increased besides interacting with media.
