Ganderbal Accident leaves 3 dead


Srinagar December 14: Three persons died near Wassun area of Ganderbal district about 30kms from Srinagar when a public bus hit a car. Bystanders said that the bus had lost control and came on to the wrong side of the road crushing the Maruti Suzuki Alto-800 car bearing number Jk-06 3990 killing the three people inside it.

Four passengers of the public conveyance bus have also been reported to have received injuries.

The deceased were identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh of Sonamarag, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah of Kullan and Riyaz Ahmad Kaloo of  Gund, said an official.

The trio were travelling in an Alto car from Kullan to Ganderbal when it collided with a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction near Wussan in Kangan.


The driver, Riyaz Ahmad died on the spot while other two were rushed to trauma hospital Kangan where they were declared brought dead.
