Geelani Held Massive Rally in Srinagar; Supporters Hoisted Pakistani Flag
FIR Filed Against Masrat Alam
Srinagar: Syed Ali Geelani today held a major rally on his return to Srinagar from New Delhi. Pro-Pakistan slogans were shouted and Pakistani flags were also waved at the rally.
Geelani vowed to fight against the status quo and said the struggle will be peaceful and honourable. He also dared Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed saying if he believed that Kashmir is dispute. Geelani said a change in government will not change the reality.
Masarat Alam, a close associate of Geelani, was also present at the rally. He later shouted anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogan as supporters waved Pakistani flags.
Police later in the evening said it has registered an FIR against Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Masarat Alam Bhat , Bashir Ahmad Bhat alias Peer
Saifullah and other separatist leaders for provocative activities and hoisting Pakistani flag in Hyderpora outskirts of Srinagar.
