‘Says focussed attention is being paid towards inclusive development of the State’
SRINAGAR: The Minister said that the government is abreast of the problems of people and the efforts are afoot to solve these problems in phased manner.
The Minister was addressing public meetings at Takia Batapora and Narpora villages in Tangmarg Tehsil and Mandayari in Pattan today.
Mr. Mir said that focussed attention is being paid towards inclusive development of the State with thrust on infrastructure and upgradation of various facilities to enhance the living standard of people especially for off and remote areas of the State.
The Minister said that Tangmarg is developing very fast adding that land mark achievements have been registered in all sectors during last six years which, he said, can be acknowledged on ground level. He said government has initiated numerous innovative measures for rejuvenating over all development of the State during past six years.
Mr. Mir asked the people to remain cautious of the nefarious designs of vested interests, who create division among the people on the name of catchy slogans and ideas. “Their aim is just to hoodwink the innocent people and not to make any positive contribution to people’s lives” Mir said.
Referring to the demands of people, the Minister said that in order to provide un-interrupted electricity to the people of the area, an electric grid station has been set up at Ahmadpora near Kunzar which is feeding whole Tangmarg, Gulmarg and Baba Reshi Blocks. He said due to setting up of grid station the voltage in the area has increased much more. He said that number of 4 transformers has been enhanced up to 27 transformers during last several years besides un-electrified hamlets have been provided the facility.
Regarding the road network programme started in Tangmarg Tehsil, the Minister said that almost all major and link roads have been macadamized while as construction of new roads and black-topping of several roads are in full swing.
