Government deny facilities to Flood Victims


Budgam: Devastating flood which hit all walks of life in Kashmir valley, among them there are several Pandith’s and Sikh communities which are also without shelter from last 15 days. About 50 Pandith and Sikh families of Jawahar Nagar, Raj Bagh and Shiv Pora area tried to shift their families to Migrant colony of Sheikh Pora of Budgam district. Local Pandiths which already live there in these quarters welcomed these families and arranged Langer for them but local authorities didn’t allow them and are trying to vacate them out.
These families are in Sheikh Pora colony from three days. The local authorities cuts down both water and electricity supply.
These families allege that authorities are putting them on backburner. They are also saying that we are not here to shift permanently but we are being here for few days till water will be receded from our areas.
