PDP-BJP alliance beneficial to people
SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 02: Minister for Agriculture Mr. Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura has said that Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed for holistic development, peace and prosperity of the State. He said PDP-BJP alliance is beneficial to the people.
The Minister was addressing public meetings at Village Zoohama, Hushroo and Kathair Gund of Charar-e-Sharief Constituency after inaugurating New Type Primary Health Centres in these places today.
The Minister said that the Government is committed to fulfil the promises made by them during election campaign. He said the opposition party have no agenda and are only befooling the public unnecessarily. He said good number of roads were macadamized, several health and education institutions upgraded with adequate infrastructure besides ensuring basic amenities to the people of the State during a short period.
Responding to the demand of construction of Receiving Station at Panzan, Mr. Hanjura said quality electricity to all the parts including households and adequate power for agriculture would be ensured.
With regard to status of backward area for Gopalsaif village, construction of protection bunds over Doodganga Nallah at Bachroo and Kinar villages, sanctioning of sale depot, establishment of Animal Husbandry Centre and ATM facility at Repora, opening of hospital and boundary wall of High School at Panzan, the Minister said that these demands would be looked into.
Referring to the developmental works under execution in the Charar-e-Sharief Constituency, the Minister said that the construction work on several micro and macro projects under different sectors is apace and said that the efforts are afoot to make the Constituency a model of the State. He said that out of Rs 1.5 crore provision, Rs.75 lakh were released for different developmental works including purchase of transformers out of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) so far.
Earlier, the Minister convened a meeting with the prominent citizens of the Constituency at Panzan and asked them to identify the developmental works of their respective areas and bring them into the notices of the concerned quarters so that the funds could be arranged for the purpose.
