Jammu, November 17: As per a leading local daily, the state government has now initiated secret exercises to identify the Government teachers and Professors teaching at private coaching centres in Jammu and Kashmir even after the ban.
As per sources, the Central Investigation Department of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been told to prepare list of such Government teachers, Lecturers, Professors and other State employees, who used to take classes in separate private institutes across the state and also they are keeping a close eye on these tuition centres and scanning the teachers still visiting there.
The sources say that the state government has decided to tighten the noose around the private coaching and tuition centres and directions to prepare the list of government teachers working in private coaching classes have been issued from the office of Education Minister Naeem Akhtar
Pertinently, very recently state government issued a circular comprising of regulations for the private coaching/tuition centres according to which there should be at least ten percent poor students studying at these centres free of cost. The admission of these students would be made on the recommendation of Director School Education. The Government move is being viewed as an attempt of the Education Minister to improve the pattern of teaching in government schools.
