Govt. Professor found working in a Private College during work hours
Jammu, August 14: In a very shocking revealation, a Commerce College Professor has been found escaping his duties by dedicating official hours in a private college.
According to sources in the college, a senior Professor has been associated with the Hindu Education Society of Kashmir (HESK), an organization of Kashmiri Pandits, and has been dedicating most of his time for it at the cost of his classes in the college for which he is being paid.”On most of the days he remains out of the college and has been seen at Gandhi Memorial College (GMC) which is run by the HESK, wherein he is working as an active member,” said sources.
They said the Professor even handles the account of the HESK, where he is signatory to its accounts.
“Though he is working on an honorary post in the HESK, he cannot sign cheques and other important documents. The dedication of professor has shown for the society at the cost of Commerce College makes it evident that his influence in the higher education and Jammu University is invincible,” they said, and added that the professor has been seen several times in the society college during official timing.
In the recent interviews for several teaching posts, The Professor was prime member in the panel, disregarding the fact that the session in the college had just started after summer vacations, sources said. “He considers so-called honorary duties more important than the job he is being paid for.” If the sources are to be believed, the Professor is also acting as a ‘despot’ in the Gandhi Memorial College run by the HESK.
“He always harasses and humiliates the staff and keeps dictating terms on them. Moreover, he has started making his lobby in the society as well,” ‘
“The Professor in question has not sought any permission from the college and is not regular in the college”, principal of the Commerce College admitted.
