Govt will uplift socio economic condition of SC, ST, BPL: Zulfkar
JAMMU, MAY 04- All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch celebrated Lord Buddha and Baba Saheb Dr. B. R Ambedkar Jayanti in a function organized in the premises of Guru Nabha Dass Community Hall at Dogra Hall here today.
While inaugurated the function with the lightening of lamp, the Minister throw light on the significant role played by Baba Sahib for the welfare of the weaker section, poors and Downtrodden. He recalled Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Ambedkar as a great social reformer and legal luminary who played a pivotal role in framing the constitution of India.
He also remembered Dr. Ambedkar’s great contribution in public welfare, upliftment of the poor, downtrodden and weaker sections of the society.
All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch also presented a chatter of demands to the
Minister for their early redressal including Provision of Reservation in contractual adhoc appointments RET’S, REZ’S, NRHM, Anganwadi workers/ Helpers, Representation in Legislative Council and due share in Council of Ministers, changing of Nomenclature, Provision of Colonies for houseless, landless poor scheduled caste families, Constitution of State SC/ ST Commission, etc.
Zulfkar assured the All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a phased manner. As per the commitment of the coalition government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayed, the minister said that govt. will uplift the socio-economic condition of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and below poverty line people also, he added.
