Jammu: Men of GRP Jammu on duty at Platform No. 1 found one girl of age about 14 years in disturbed expressions. Then on the directions of Sh. Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu the said girl was brought to P/S GRP Jammu where she was politely dealt by lady police in a homely atmosphere and her whereabouts were obtained. According to her version she fled from her home on 03.06.2015 due to the reason that despite of achieving good result in 8th class, she could not get admission in a school of her choice. Due to which she was disappointed and left her home. Her parents were accordingly communicated regarding the presence of said girl of Gaziabad- UP. The said missing girl was handed over to her guardians after proper documentation under rules who lauded the role of GRP Jammu for this kind of social act and for saving her daughter from falling in bad hands.
In the second instance, men of GRP Jammu deployed at Railway Station Jammu found a boy of age about 22/23 years roaming at Railway Station and they immediately brought him to P/S GRP Jammu with a view to save him from falling in bad hands. On the directions of Sh. Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu, a polite and homely discussions was made with the boy and his whereabouts were obtained. It came forth that the boy namely Ghulam Mustafa Mir R/O Kupwara had a scuffle with his parents due to which he left his home. His family members were contacted and he shall be handed over to his parents/guardians after proper documentation under rules. It is worth here to quote that previously also a no. of children have been handed over by GRP Jammu to their actual guardians from time to time.
