GRP Jammu returned a run-away Boy to his parents

Jammu, Aug 18: On 09.08.2015 men of GRP Jammu on duty at Platform No. 2/3 found one boy of age about 10 years roaming at Railway Station unnecessarily and they immediately brought him to P/S GRP Jammu with a view to save him from falling in bad hands. On the directions of Sh. Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu, a polite and homely discussions was made with the boy and his whereabouts were obtained.

It came forth that the said boy was Sikander Kumar Mukhiya R/o Sourharba P/s Mahisi Distt. Saharsa. He was residing with his Uncle & Aunty for the last two months at Jammu and he had a scuffle with them on some minor issue, due to which he left their home.

The child was handed over to childline for further look after of the said child on 10.08.2015 and in the meantime his family members were contacted who reached at P/S GRP, Jammu. The child was handed over to his parents/guardians in the presence of child line after proper documentation under rules. It is worth here to quote that previously also a no. of children have been handed over by GRP Jammu to their actual guardians from time to time.
