GRP reunites missing girl with family

Udhampur:GRP Udhampur on Wednesday reunited a missing girl with her family.

GRP Udhampur during routine patrolling at platform saw a girl, age about 17 years wandering in suspicious circumstances. On this, GRP staff deployed at Railway Station Udhampur swung into action and caught hold the girl.
In the meanwhile the Nafri of GRP Udhampur deployed there, enquired about the said girl and she disclosed her name as Siya, daughter of Madan Lal, resident of Salarian Teh. Mukerian Distt. Hoshiyarpur Punjab.

SSP Railway Katra Ranjit Singh Samyal immediately constituted a team under the supervision of Surinder Singh Baloria DySP SDPO Railways Udhampur to know the whereabouts and traced her parents within a shortest time.

Finally SHO GRP Udhampur contacted/ informed telephonically to her parents and handed over the said girl to them after completing legal formalities.

The parents lauded the role of GRP Udhampur for their timely and swift action, which resulted into the safely re-union of their daughter.
