Gul describes him a man of principles
SRINAGAR: A condolence meeting of the employees of Assembly Secretariat was held under the Chairmanship of the Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mubarak Gul, in the premises of Assembly Secretariat today to condole sad demise of Mr. Abdul Ahad Vakil, Ex-Speaker of Legislative Assembly and NC leader who passed yesterday.
The Speaker described late Vakil as man of principles who fought for the upliftment of downtrodden section of the society. He said that Vakil’s death is a great loss to the State, particularly for the people of Sopore. He said that Mr. Vakil was a social worker and his contribution for the betterment and welfare of the down trodden people will be remembered for ever.
Mr. Gul said that the demise of Vakil has created a vacuum especially in the political circles of the State which cannot be filled up for a long time.
Mr. Gul expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Secretary Assembly Mr. M. Ramzan, Special Secretary, Assembly Mr. M. R. Singh, senior officers of Assembly Secretariat and staff members attended the condolence meeting.
