Gul inaugurates community hall at Noorbagh

Speaker-9SRINAGAR: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mr. Mubarak Gul Thursday said that government is committed to give new look to the Srinagar city by speeding up the pace of development particularly Eidgah constituency.
Mr. Gul was addressing a public gathering after inaugurating Syed Qasim Shah Bukhari community hall constructed by SMC at a cost of Rs. 1.55 crore and a shopping complex constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.20 crore at Noorbagh here today.
The Speaker said that several steps are being taken to beautify the Eidgah area besides providing civic facilities including sewerage and drainage to the area so that people are benefited with the necessary infrastructure being raised by the present popular government.
He said that the government is contemplating to set up a hospital in Noorbagh area which will be equipped with latest medical gadgets to facilitate patients with high class medical facilities. He announced Rs. 15 lakh out of his CDF for boosting the developmental activities in Noorbagh and Bagwanpora areas.
Referring to the setting up of shopping complex in the area, Mr. Gul said that such activities are aimed at extending employment opportunities to the youth besides giving them opportunities to live a dignified and honorable life.
The Speaker was accompanied by Commissioner SMC, Executive Engineer SMC, Deputy Director Land Management, Deputy Director Enforcement, Estates Officer and Executive Engineer of SDA.
