Gurezi for introducing latest technology for agriculture, livestock development
JAMMU – The Minister of State for Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurezi underscored the need for introduction of latest technology in agriculture, horticulture and its allied sectors for improvement of socio-economic transformation of farmers in the State.
This was stated by the Minister at a function organized by Animal Husbandry Department held here today.
The Minister on the occasion distributed promotion orders to 571 officials of the department which were cleared by Departmental Promotion Committee of various non-gazetted Cadres of Animal Husbandry Department Jammu division.
The Minister called upon the employees of the department to work with more dedication for bringing laurels in livestock in the State, adding that due consideration should be given to introduced high yielding breeds beneficial to increase mutton and milk production in the State. He assured the Veterinary medicos and para-medicos that all the genuine demands would be mitigated in due course of time.
Mr. Gurezi stressed for artificial insemination of high breed besides proper health care of the livestock. He also underscored the need for random testing of drugs to check the quality of standards.
The Minister emphasized the need for achieving sent present targets of Centrally Sponsored schemes like RKVY for increasing livestock and its production in the State.
Director of Animal Husbandry department of Jammu also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the physical and financial achievements registered by the department for increasing jersey breed of livestock besides milk and mutton production in the division.
