Hanjura urges prospective borrowers to take benefit of Mudra Yojna, other centrally sponsored schemes

BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 29: Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Tuesday urged all Banks to identify potential borrowers and process their cases, sanction and disburse loans to non-farm enterprises of district Budgam.

The Minister was speaking at a function held in connection with joint Mega Credit Camp on Prime Minister’s ‘Mudra Yojna’ with a special emphasis on loan up to Rs 50,000 under SHISHU category. The camp was organized by Lead Bank Office, Budgam in collaboration with Banks operating in the district, here today.

The Minister urged prospective borrowers to take benefit of the said scheme and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes and establish their Micro units in land-transport sector, food product sector, textile products and business loans for running shops, purchasing necessary machinery and equipments and earn livelihood.

Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmed also spoke on the occasion and highlighted importance of this mission mode scheme. He stressed upon all bank officials to dedicate their products and services for giving impetus to economic scenario in the district.

Later, Mr. Hanjura distributed sanctioned letters and cheques to 151 proposed borrowers to the tune of Rs. 82.50 lakh duly sanctioned by J&K Bank, State Bank of India, Elaquai Dehati Bank, State Cooperative Bank and Union Bank of India under SHISHU, KISHORE and TARUN categories.

The Mega Camp was also attended by SSP Budgam, Chief Planning Officer, Budgam, Zonal Head J&K Bankd the representatives of State Bank of India, Elaquai Dehati Bank, State Cooperative Bank and Union Bank of India.
