Jammu, January 27: After a lot of Yes or No, Mufti Jr. has indicated that he may join politics very soon. This speculation comes to fore now as the former CM’s son said that his father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s commitment towards the welfare of Jammu and especially Kashmir was the biggest inspiration for his return to the state.
Speculations have been made about him joining politics since his father and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passed away on Jan 07 at AIIMS in New Delhi.
Tassaduq Mufti recently gave an interview to a national daily where he did not nullify the rumours about him joining People Democratic Party. “I will now pay full attention towards the issues which are confronting the State which my late father has ruled twice since 2002,” Tassaduq said in the interview.
He also said that he was concerned earlier as well but from a distance and now he will give full attention to the politics in the state.
Tassaduq said, “My father’s vision was to see a Kashmir where our future generations can live peacefully and my aim is to work and make a little difference in that direction and to realise his dream”, This has been the biggest hint fuelling further speculations about him joining the Kashmir Centric party founded by his father and currently headed by his sister.
During the interview, he also ended the speculations of some senior PDP leaders taking the Centre stage during the days ahead.
As of now there is a huge possibility of Tassaduq landing a big responsibility in the PDP cadre and things would be even more clear in days that follow.
