HC stayed the SSB selection process

Jammu, January 12: In a recent verdict to a petition  filed regarding the cancellation of examination conducted by SSB (Services Selection Board) on Dec 25, the Jammu High Court has  restrained SSB from finalizing the selection process for various posts.

The petition has been filed by Rajinder Singh and others in order to get the examination conducted by Service Selection Board (SSB) on 25th of December last year 2015 for various posts of State as well as district cadre since the incidents of mass copying were reported at several centres of examination.

Advocates Mohd Shaqir Hussain and Ashwani Kumar Sharma have been appearing for the petitioners in front of  Vacation Judge of the High Court, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal. After hearing them, a notice has been issued to Chief Secretary, Chairman SSB and Secretary SSB by Justice Janak Raj returnable within in four weeks.

In the meanwhile, SSB is directed not to finalize the selection process before the next date of hearing.
