The heat wave has engulfed the entire Jammu region and has affected the common life of people as they are being forced to remain indoor during peak hours of the day. Both maximum and minimum temperature of the Jammu region is being recorded above the normal temperature. The maximum temperature is being recorded near 40 degree Celsius from the last 4-5 days and the minimum temperature too stays around 30 degree Celsius.
Many can be seen seeking relief from the heat wave enjoying bathing in local canals. Kids along with adults can be seen spending hours in canals. People are also sheltering themselves with appropriate protections like covering their body and head when out, drinking juice fruit and sugarcane juice as suggested in summers. A huge rush of people can be seen at Ranbir Canal in Jammu every now and then, where people can be seen beating the heat splashing in waters.
