Heavy rains likely in the valley for next three days

It’s going to be a sigh of relief for the people of the valley as the state Meteorological Department said in its forecast bulletin today that a four-day wet spell is likely from Monday and would continue till Thursday.


The rains would range from isolated downpour (precipitation at 25 percent stations) is expected on Monday which will escalate to fairly widespread downpour (precipitation at 51 to 75 percent stations) on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The day temperature in Srinagar had touched a maximum of 27.6° C on Saturday, which was an increase of nearly five degrees from normal. Srinagar would have a partly cloudy air with maximum temperatures around 25°C, according to today’s forecast for the city.This would cool down the increasingly hot temperature surge and comfort the masses.
