High command will take decision of New Deputy CM in the state: BJP

Jammu, January 14: Amid a great number of speculations being made regarding the reformation of government in the state, another statement has come from BJP front (the other partner of coalition with PDP) saying no time frame can be given when the new Government will be sworn -in  in the State.

The statement has been made by the state BJP president Sat Sharma (CA) and Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Dr Nirmal Singh who were talking to media during the launch of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna in Jammu on Wednesday.

Both were asked the most obvious question that why there is no official news  regarding the formation of government in the state even after so many days of Chief Minister’s demise. Their reply was that the state was observing seven days mourning in connection with former Chief Minister’s death and Wednesday was the last day. After the end of mourning, PDP will hold the Legislature Party meet and will formally elect the Party leader and only after that a formal meeting can happen between both the parties.

“We cannot say anything until then but yes, we are hopeful about the continuation of PDP-BJP coalition in the State,” said Nirmal Singh. They also said that same has been conveyed to the governor in the reply of the letter seeking our stand on the Government formation.

The state BJP president was also asked the truth behind the speculations of new Deputy Chief Minister and induction of more Ministers from BJP in the Council of Ministers. To this, he said that the decision is going to be taken by High Command and we will work accordingly. But first we should wait for the formation of the Government, he added.

Upon asking that whether PDP is resorting to delaying tactics for possible tie-up with other political parties, Nirmal Singh said that only a few days have passed after the death of CM, let things get comfortable first.

He adds that there is no need to be suspicious about PDP and there is no such indication that there is anything being thought by the PDP leadership other than their alliance with BJP. There is nothing of such thing officially or unofficially.

“They need time and we are giving them, you will see positive results in upcoming days,” said former Dy. CM
