High Court Bar Association constitutes committee for mass agitation against shifting of AIIMS
Jammu, May 22: The High Court Bar Association has constituted a coordination committee to start a mass agitation against the decision to shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir. A decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of different social and political associations chaired by president of Jammu Bar Association, Abhinav Sharma.
During the meeting, The Bar Association was unanimously authorised to hold series of protests against the state government. The Bar Associaton is to constitute a coordination committee which would launch a mass movement against the discriminatory decision of shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir.
While speaking, Abhinav Sharma criticized the government’s decision of shifting AIIMS from Jammu to Kashmir and urged the BJP leadership to take a stand on the issue. He said that there is resentment among the people against the government especially the elected representatives of Jammu region who are not fighting for the cause of Jammuites who have always faced neglect and discrimination at the hand of Kashmir centric politics in the state.
He added that the BJP got a clear mandate from the populace of Jammu and it is time the BJP paid attention to the voices that voted it into power.
