The team will also visit different areas of Kashmir to personally take stock of the damage and loss caused by the rains and the resultant floods. The BJP will take up the same with the administration relief distribution on war footing and earliest rehabilitation before the onset of the winters.

Balbir Ram Rattan said that the BJP at the national as well as in the state level, has geared up its entire party cadre from day one have put on hold the political activities and concentrate towards helping the people who have suffered on account of floods. He said that the BJP treats all the three regions—Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as equally important regions of the state and do not adopt different yardsticks for different regions or religions. The concern and commitment of BJP towards all the regions is its article of faith and is also clear from the fact that the party has deputed its teams to all the affected areas of Jammu as well as Kashmir being committed for even handed treatment for all regions and religions of the state.

Balbir Ram Rattan, while applauding the assistance being provided by the Narendra Modi led government at the centre for the relief of flood victims, said that there have been complaints against the state government for its slow pace of operations related to distribution of relief and undertaking rehabilitation steps. He also snubbed the state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for repeatedly misleading the people by uttering one line that the Centre government should provide extra ordinary package for the flood victims for getting Narendra Modi’s unambiguous and clear commitment of providing every kind of help and assistance to the state for relief and rehabilitation. He said that the CM is making such statement to divert the attention and escape the wrath of the people across the state who are angry and harbor resentment against him for his and his governments total failure in taking timely action before and after the floods.
