Militant outfit Hizb ul Mujhadeen has claimed the responsibility for Tral grenade attack that left nine forces’ personnel wounded.
A senior police officer said that the militants hurled the grenade on the joint team of police and CRPF near police station in Tral town.
In the blast, four policemen and four CRPF troopers suffered injuries and has been hospitalised, he said
The area has been cordoned off for searches. The injured have been shifted to a hospital,” a police officer said.
This was second in a day, Earlier security forces killed four Islamic State militants — including Dawood Salfi alias Burhan, the chief of the terror group in the state — in a gunfight in Anantnag district.
