Hold Fresh polls, if BJP-PDP fails to form Govt: Farooq Abdullah

JAMMU: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah while retracting his yesterday’s statement today said that the assembly must be dissolve and hold fresh elections if Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) failed to form a government. This was stated by Farooq Abdullah while talking to the media persons over the sidelines of a private function here.

He also said that he PDP should form a government with BJP as both the parties have the mandate and he had never said that we are going with BJP and said that our party can discuss in the working committee.

He also said that National Conference has 15 MLAs in the assembly and it cannot form the government as NC doesn’t have the mandate.
