Holi: A lisence for youth to drink and drive?

Colors magically connect with the emotions and moods of all human beings, and effectually make us jovial and happy. During Holi, all the people irrespective of their color, sex, caste, creed, or religion also get together for this enchanting festival in India. They rejoice with colors, foods, and drinks to express happiness, and symbolically celebrate life with the victory of good over evil, and spread the message of love, unity, and peace.

But in Jammu, the trend has apparently shifted with youth making it more of a binge ride rather than a celebration.

Youth form groups and take their motorcade, for a run throughout the city by deliberately removing the silencers so as to make a statement. While, this does nothing apart from causing noise pollution. But what is more worrying is the fact that they are inebirated.
Drunken drivers with Colors smacked on their faces go on a horror ride, while their mothers sitback seeking for their return on the festive occassion. While accidents are a common sight in Jammu these days, youth needs to be responsible and cautious for their own good
