Police on Tuesday claimed to have seized a huge cache of ammunition during searches in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The spokesman in a statement said that on Monday Pulwama Police launched searches in village Dangerpora Arihal and during searches a huge quantity of explosive materials was recovered from the house of Bilal Ahmad Ganai including a detonating material, connecting wires, electric chargers, batteries, mobile phones and remote control activating devices.
“Some of the seized items are marked with symbols of Pakistan,” he claimed.
He said searches were also carried at village Naina Batapora and during search a Chinese pistol, 7 live rounds 9 mm, 1 magazine and 1 7.62 mm round was recovered from the possession of one Sabzar Ahmad Mir resident of Khellan.
“Cases have been registered in both the seizures and the accused persons were taken in custody for further investigation,” he added.
