The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is firm in its commitment to help the masses affected by the recent floods in every nook and corner and the farthest and remotest areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The party has been mobilizing relief materials like rations, clothes and medicines all over the country and sending them to the needy. Already, around 50 trucks of relief materials has been dispatched to the flood-affected areas, according to state spokesperson Arun Kumar Gupta.
The party workers have not neglected any particular area as is being insinuated by some quarters. They have already sent relief materials to Reasi, Gool, Mahore, Arnas, Sunderbani, Vijaypur, Ramnagar, Samba, Nagrota, Paragwal, Udhampur, Gangyal, Chattha, Naibasti, Domana and Marh too, besides several other places, the press release clarified.
It is patently wrong to accuse the party of failing to provide relief materials to several areas in the Jammu province. The party workers continue to move from place to place, making an assessment of the needs of the people and then sending relief material to them. It is being done in a coordinated manner and more material is being mobilized for distribution among the flood-hit.
There is no question of neglecting any flood hit areas. And slowly, but surely, all the affected people will be provided relief material, the press release stressed.
Gupta cautioned the people against rumour mongers who are trying to vitiate the atmosphere and creating ill-will. This is totally uncalled for, unwarranted and immoral to spread rumours among the flood-affected in this hour of crisis. He cautioned such people to desist from these attempts and dedicate themselves to the task of mobilizing relief materials for the needy instead.
