Hurriyat Leaders Call for Kashmir Bandh Next Week; Appeals for Protest march to UNO Office
Srinagar: Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani and JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yaseen Malik and Hurriyat (JK) leader Shabir Ahmad Shah have called for complete and state-wide shutdowns on February 9 and 11 next week to mark the anniversaries of Mohammad Afzal Guru and Mohammad Maqbool Bhat.
Bhat was hanged on February 11, 1984 while as the parliament attack convict, Guru was hanged on February 9, 2013.
Both Bhat and Guru were buried in Tihar jail after their death and the Kashmiri separatists are demanding for their remains.
JKLF has also called for protests on February 11 to press for their demand and will try to march towards UNO office in Srinagar.
Shabir Shah has also called for a complete shutdown to mark the anniversaries of Bhat and Guru.
