Idea Rs. 295 prepaid recharge plan has been launched in India in order to take on Airtel’s recently launched voice only plan worth Rs. 299. However, unlike Airtel which offers only unlimited calling benefits with its prepaid plan, the Idea Rs. 295 prepaid recharge plan comes with data benefits, voice calling and more.
The Idea Rs. 295 prepaid recharge plan comes with 5GB of total data for the whole validity period of the 42 days along with unlimited (local, STD and roaming) voice calls. Subscribers will also get 100 SMS every day for the whole validity period, however, voice calling is limited to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week.
On the other hand, Idea Cellular users will also have a limit of making calls to only 100 different numbers in seven consecutive days and if they exhaust any of the above-mentioned FUP limits, voice calls will be charged at 1 paisa per second.
Similarly, if users exceed the 5GB total 4G data limit of the Idea Rs. 295 prepaid recharge plan, they will be charged 4 paise per 10KB for additional data consumption during the validity period.
In comparison, the Airtel Rs. 299 prepaid recharge plan comes with unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit and 100 SMS per day with a validity of 45 days. Meanwhile, Reliance Jio also has an Rs. 251 prepaid recharge plan which offers unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit, 2GB data per day but no SMS benefit for a validity of 51 days.
