The holy Yatra is scheduled from the 2nd of July on wards and the Police officials are preparing to extend a fool-proof security. The Yatra at the outset from the Kathua district covers five districts of Jammu province. These include Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Udhampur and finally Ramban before entering Kashmir.
The police have drawn out detailed arrangements covering the Langars organised at various spots throughout the National Highway along with other allotment centres, the base camp at Bhagwati Nagar and the temples in the entire route where the yatris halt.
Not just the security, but the hygiene of the people, the expeditious movement of the army convoy, the accommodation arrangements are all under in the priority list. They are in fact keeping a check on the shopkeepers that engage themselves in hoarding and do black marketing during the yatra.
The Government along with the security forces are trying to make sure that all the concerns and grievances of the pilgrims from across the country are addressed and they don’t face any more troubles.
Speaking about the news of two suspected individuals seen in the city a day ago, the IGP has assured that their department reacts to each and every news they receive. They make sure at their end that the security is not compromised and also, during the origin of any rumors they make sure that the gossip mongers are put to rest.
