Despite protest being held at nook and corner of the state against JKPSC and state Govt. the commission today went ahead to clarify that the exam will be conducted on said day.
Wednesday morning, JKPSC issued a notification stating there is no change in schedule of the examination. “It is hereby notified for the information of aspirants of combined competitive (Preliminary) examination 2016 that the said exam shall be as per schedule i.e. on 19.03.2017 in two sessions and no change whatsoever is in the offing”, the notification said.
It is pertinent to note here that the exam date for KAS is clashing with that of CGL exam. Aspirants have been burning midnight oil to prepare for the two examinations since an year, but due to negligence of officials at State commission, the exam date for KAS has been decided without keeping in view the CGL exam.
The students are apparently in a fix trying to figure out as to which exam shall they take. It is also speculated that the date has deliberately been decided to facilitate admission of kin by the administration.
While a recent statem, ent by JKPSC stated that 47,650 cadidates will be appearing in this year’s KAS exam, it will be interesting to see as to how many actually turn up for the exam.
