Full dress rehearsal held across the Valley

Div Com took salute at Bakshi Stadium

SRINAGAR: Full dress rehearsals were held at all the district and Tehsil headquarters of the Kashmir Valley in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.

At Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon after unfurling the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past of full dress rehearsal at Bakshi Stadium here today.

The march past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, BSF, Women Police, State Disaster Response Force, Fire and Emergency Services and school children of various educational institutions besides contingents of Forest Protection Force also took part in the march past.

A variety of colourful cultural programmes were presented by students of Educational Institutions in collaboration with Information, Youth Services & Sports Departments and Cultural Academy.

On the occasion, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gillani, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, divisional and senior Police officers were present.

At Baramulla, a colourful full dress rehearsal was conducted at Police Lines Baramulla today. Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad unfurled the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children besides Army Band participated in the march past. Cultural programmes were also presented.

On the occasion, senior officers of civil administration, Police department and huge gathering participated. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Anantnag, a full dress rehearsal was held at Government Degree College Anantnag (Boys). Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan took salute on the march past presented by contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, NCC and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Budgam, full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Budgam. The Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Mr. Mir Altaf Ahmad unfurled the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Kupwara, a full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Kupwara. Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Mr. K.R. Ranjan took salute on the march past presented by contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, FPF, Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guards, Police Band and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Pulwama, full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Pulwama. The Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Mr. Niraj Kumar unfurled the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Shopian, full dress rehearsal was held at Sports Stadium, Shopian. The Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mr. G.M. Dar unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Kulgam, a full dress rehearsal was held at Government Degree College, Kulgam. The Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Ravinder Kumar Bhat unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Bandipora, a full dress rehearsal was held at S.K. Sports Stadium, Bandipora today. The Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Dr. Shah Faisal inspected the parade and took salute on the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, NCC and the school children.

Officers from civil administration, police and army besides public representatives and senior citizens were present on the occasion.

At Ganderbal, a full dress rehearsal was held at Madri Meharban Stadium, Ganderbal. The Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Mr. Showkat Ajaz unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march past presented by JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and school children. Cultural programmes were also presented.

At Karnah, full dress rehearsal was held by the Sub Divisional Magistrate Karnah followed by the inspection of parade and march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, NCC and other security forces besides students from the educational institutions.

At Handwara, a similar full dress rehearsal was held at DPL Handwara by the Tehsildar Handwara followed by the inspection of parade and march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP and other security forces besides students from the educational institutions. SSP Handwara and other officers of the departments were also present on the occasion.

The cultural programmes were presented by the Artists of Information Department and students of different educational institutions.
