In a live video shot by the group members, Lakshmi Kaul thanked everyone who came together for the cause and said, “When you see all of these people coming together here (Bharat Bhawan) it means that all Indians are of the common view now that terrorist activity in India has crossed its limits. Pakistan needs to stop playing on such nefarious designs. No one’s lives, especially of our soldiers should have to be sacrificed anymore. We all stand united to say just one thing, Jai Hind!”
In the same video, Manu Khajuria Singh, who is from Jammu regretting the latest attack at Uri said, “I m present here as an Indian and as a state subject of J&K. My land has seen a lot of bloodshed and pain for 70 years. The region has been unstable for 7 decades and we blame Pakistan for the condition of our state. We appeal to Indian govt that we have always lived the environs of fear and that it needs to stop. The blood of soldiers cannot be shed the way it is being lost.”
Lakshmi Kaul’s facebook status from where these images have been taken, read, “We are all with our armed forces and their families especially in times like today. I would like to appeal each one of you to also try to support the families of the fallen soldiers to make sure they are not living in adversity and difficulty. It must become our responsibility to ensure their well being.
They protect us with their lives and it is our duty to speak for them. Their sacrifices must not go waste. It must make our resolve stronger to work harder to build the correct perception of J&K and to show the world the truth. Satyameva Jayate.”
