Indore Adjudged India’s Cleanest City For 5th Time; Surat, Vijaywada 2nd & 3rd


New Delhi, Nov 20: President Ram Nath Kovind awarded Surat, Vijaywada for being second, third cleanest cities. But the first prize went to Indore city is adjudged India’s cleanest city for the fifth time in a row in the Central government’s annual cleanliness survey.

The second and third positions in the ‘cleanest city’ category of the ‘Swachh Survekshan Awards, 2021’ were secured by Surat and Vijayawada, respectively.
