Internet used to watch dirty films in Kashmir: NITI Aayog


NITI Aayog member backed the suspension of the internet services in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the blockade did not lead to any “economic loss”.

The NITI Aayog member, VK Saraswat made the statement on the sidelines of annual convocation at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) in Gujarat’s capital on Saturday.

Further defending the restrictions, imposed on the internet following the abrogation of Article 370 in August last year, Saraswat said that the internet suspension in the Valley has no adverse effect on the economy.

The NITI Aayog member went on to say that there is no use of the internet in Jammu and Kashmir other than “watching dirty films”.
