Srinagar, September 01: The speculations that the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is not well and there is soon going to be the ‘Change of guard’ in the state has been nullified by PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Monday.
As per it is reported, Mehbooba was on Monday present in a function in Baramulla where she told the reporters that the CM was travelling from Delhi to Mumbai to Bangalore to see his son. He has come back to Delhi and will return to Kashmir on Tuesday.
She added that her father was all well and she could do nothing with the people speculating.
But the sources said that Mufti is giving clears indications that he will soon pass the regime to his daughter Mehbooba Mufti. They claimed Mufti’s health issues are not at all a secret anymore and there is no one there that who can sit on to her dad’s chair.
To do that peacefully he will possibly bring back his close aide Muzaffar Hussain Beigh into the state politics who is likely to be given the portfolio of the Finance Minister as per sources.
Sources further said that the CM would remain in the chair till he can manage since Mehbooba wants her father to carry on with her assistance as she believes that her father’s experience could prove to be guiding force for her and the PDP and him (Mufti) being in chair would help to keep the coalition intact.
